“There's something admirably pure and analog about the intensity and integrity of this vast doomscape of drone, and Slomo should be ranked way up there with the very finest exponents in the field, creating swirls of black cloud that could rival the frostbitten darkness of SunnO))) themselves. So awesome.”

“That the music itself should be both so sepulchral, so texturally static, and yet so compelling is what's really amazing about this deeply strange but ultimately very impressive album.”
ALLMUSIC
“The work's greatest strength lies in both the sheer quantity of its length and in the unit's monolithic pacing. Momentary rises in density give some indication as to the duo's potential for claustrophobic sludge, but Slomo clearly prefer a slower and more spatial atmospheric exploration. Everything here has a certain tangibility to it, a physical weight … a beautifully constructed and detailed achievement.”
BRAINWASHED
“…sinister yet soothing, The Bog is a fog of burbling electronics and feedback, naturally slow and low and quietly creepy. It's like gastric gurgling from the cathedraloid stomach of some cumbersome, slumbersome, subterranean behemoth. Certainly recommended.”

This was the first Sunn O))) album I listened to after Altar. I used to annoy my friends by adding "My Wall" to the playlist at parties. Now we're not friends anymore. This will never be my favorite Sunn O))) album, but it will always remind me of my miserable twenties. nosohryuforyou

This may be my all-time favourite SUNN O))) LP. Hell-O)))-Ween is excellent, SUB-BASS and then some. BassAliens begins pretty chilled, develops a twang to it similar to Earth circa Hex, then becomes an organic yet alien sound which could soundtrack the creature in John Carpenter's The Thing. I really like the choral elements to Decay2. Always after listening to this LP I'm in the mood for Unearthly Trance's Deathothic from their In the Red LP.
Favourite track: Decay2 [Nihils' Maw] Master of Alchemy
